Southeast Branch

Southeast Branch

America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia opened a branch warehouse in Brunswick in 2010. This additional warehouse has enabled the food bank to better serve the community of southeast Georgia by providing more fresh and frozen food to our partner agencies. The Southeast Branch of America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia serves the counties of Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, McIntosh, and Wayne.

The Southeast Branch works with roughly 78 agencies to distribute more than 2.2 million pounds of food a year to individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity. This amount of food represents savings of more than $3.8 million in wholesale food costs. If we are able to pass these savings on to our partner agencies, they are able to provide more services in the communities they serve.

We distribute fresh, frozen and non-perishable food through our Partner Market Place and are able to provide assistance through Mobile Food Pantry, Brown Bag for the Elderly and our Childhood Hunger Initiatives. Please visit our Programs page for a more thorough description of how we serve our neighbors in need in Coastal Georgia.

The Southeast Branch encourages our community partners and neighbors to Host a Food Drive, consider becoming an Agency, schedule a Volunteer opportunity, or attend an Event. If you are interested in learning more about the Brunswick branch or would like a tour, please contact our Community & Agency Relations Coordinator, Kalista Morton at 912-261-7979 or kmorton@helpendhunger.org.
