Saturday, May 13th marks the 31st annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive when letter carriers around the country will Stamp Out Hunger! with your help. The Stamp Out Hunger! effort is the nation’s largest single-day food drive, having collected more than 1.75 billion pounds of food since its inception in 1993.

Last year, letter carriers across the country collected more than 71.6 million pounds of food, but with hunger striking many needy Americans– including working families, children and the elderly – help is needed now more than ever before.

Fill A Bag. Help Feed Families.
1. Collect and bag non-perishable food items.

Please do not donate frozen food, homemade food or home-canned items. Please do not donate items that have expired or are in glass containers. In keeping with good food-handling and food-safety procedures, food that is opened, damaged, out of code or does not have the official ingredients included will be discarded by the food bank in the sorting process.

2. Place the bag by your mailbox for the letter carrier to pickup as the mail is delivered on Saturday, May 13.

3. Leave the rest to Second Harvest.  We will retrieve the donations from the post offices.

Thank You!
