Glynn Visual Arts is partnering with America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia Food Bank for “Handmade for the Hungry”

Glynn Visual Arts supports our local food bank, America’s Second Harvest, through our pottery program in which we offer classes for students to come in and make a bowl. The bowls are then donated to the “Empty Bowl Project.”

Bowls are created in the “Handmade for the Hungry” classes at GVA as well as by our local potters & donated to the “Empty Bowl Project.” The “Empty Bowl Project” culminates with a soup dinner at GVA on November 5th in which individuals may come in and buy a hand made bowl to take home and receive a hearty soup dinner with all the fixin’s. This event will be catered by our friends. Tickets to the “Empty Bowl” event are $30 per person.

All proceeds for sales of the bowls and dinner are donated to America’s Second Harvest. It’s fun to make the bowls and fun to come to the dinner and see all the creativity in our community, knowing it’s for a great cause!! For more information about classes, visit www.glynnvisualarts.org
