Events > Stewart & Winfield Concert
Doing something for others doesn't always have a tangible reward. This wasn't so, however, at the Stewart & Winfield Benefit Concert on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the SCAD Trustees Theatre. The band received the appreciation of enthusiatic fans who not only got to their feet to clap to the beat, but who left their seats to dance in front of the stage.
The band as well as hundreds of their fans had an enjoyable and memorable time in one of Savannah's most beautiful locations. The concert not only helped to raise awareness about the issue of hunger in our community, its proceeds will help Second Harvest respond to the increased need for summer feeding, provide food for meal preparation at area soup kitchens and shelters, and alleviate hunger for low-income senior citizens.
On behalf of the clients that we serve, America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia thanks Stewart & Winfield, the Band, the fans, and SCAD for making an entertaining evening also a meaningful one.
